What is Distant Reiki?

How can someone in another room, another city or even another country experience healing from a Reiki therapist in a different place?  Reiki is natural healing energy that works on every level, not just the physical level, and this is where some people have trouble understanding how a Reiki distance session works.  Within the framework of our physical world, everything has to be done in person.  If you need a haircut, a massage, dental work, manicure or a blood test, it cannot be done by distance, it has to be done in person.  There has to be a physical connection made with your body and that is where Reiki is different.  Reiki healing energy connects us on an energetic level where the healing work happens.  To understand this, we must first realize that we are more than our physical bodies.  Our thoughts, emotions, feelings, ideas, perspectives and beliefs all exist within us but they are not part of our physical bodies.  They are energies that can affect our physical bodies but they are not physical elements.

One wonderful aspect of Distant Reiki is you can be anywhere to receive it and you never have to leave your home.  Distance Reiki is just as effective as experiencing In-Person Reiki; the Reiki energy “works” regardless of where you are located since it transcends time and physical space.  Having a session in the comfort of your own home can often times be more relaxing than spending time driving to get to an In-Person Session.  The Distance Reiki Session is usually 30 to 60 minutes long.  We will schedule a time and date with you for the session. By setting up a specific time, you can be in a receptive state (such as lying down or meditating during the session).  If it is of assistance, I can make recommendations for meditative music to assist in your relaxation during the session.  In advance of the session, we will ask what you want the session to support (e.g. a physical or health issue, goal, or challenge).  After the session is complete, we will connect by phone to discuss any experiences you had and answer any questions you may have.
